Size- The population for the area of metro manilla in 2000 was at 14 million at daytime . In comparison to Australia the population difference would be 5 million if you add Melbourne and Sydneys population together or 1 million more people than London.

 

In the future- The population of Manila is expected to reach 20 million people by the year 2019. For comparison in 2013 the population of Beijing reached 20 million people. Manila is growing quite fast and by the year 2045 the population of the Philippines is expected to be 147 million and the population of Manila is expected to be 47 million people in the area of metro Manila.

 

 

Push and Pull factors- The push factors could be some natural disasters such as an earthquake. According to earthquake tracker.com there is about a 4.5 magnitude earthquake every day in the Philippines. Some pull factors could be some things like very large churches and the ocean park, botanical gardens and you could also explore old manila with some of the walks that they have.
