Economy

The economy of Manila is very vast, ranging from millionaires to people living in slums. There is also a huge variety in what Manila residents produce. Such products range from Chemicals and coconut oil to ropes and anchor. These items are sold globally and just to the next door neighbour.

The GDP of Manila is about $3,480 billion Philippine Peso, which makes up 35% of GDP in the Philippines. More than 80% of this money is made by services and the rest is made by agriculture and industry. This means that Manila is more of a service city, and earns most of its money by tourism and service, instead of producing and exporting.
